What Are My Best Healthy Eating Habits?

My best healthy eating habit is probably keeping things simple and repeatable.

I have learned that I do much better when healthy eating is not treated like some complicated project. If every meal requires a recipe, a grocery list, and forty-five minutes of preparation, eventually convenience is going to win.

So I try to make the healthier choice the easier choice.

I keep foods around that I know I will actually eat. Protein, fruit, vegetables, simple meals, easy snacks, plenty of water. Nothing especially glamorous. Just enough structure that I do not have to negotiate with myself every time I get hungry.

I also try not to think in terms of perfect foods and bad foods.

If I want something, I would rather enjoy it than turn eating into a guilt exercise. One meal does not make you healthy, and one indulgent meal does not ruin anything either. What matters more is what you do consistently.

Portion size helps too. Sometimes the healthiest decision is not changing what I am eating at all. It is just realizing I do not need quite as much of it.

And probably the biggest thing is paying attention to how food actually makes me feel.

Some meals leave you energized. Others make you want to lie down and rethink every decision that led you there. Eventually you start noticing the difference.

So my best healthy eating habits are not really tricks.

Keep it simple. Make decent food easy to reach. Drink water. Do not obsess over perfection. And try to make choices you can actually repeat.

Because the healthiest plan in the world is not very useful if you hate following it.What are your best healthy eating habits?
